Fire extinguisher courses Essex
Today we carried out school fire training including our fire extinguisher courses Essex programme.
This course can include live fire extinguisher training and can also be attended by as many staff as you wish. So, what will staff learn on this training session. First of all, we take a brief look at fire safety law. This includes how fire risk assessment, fire emergency plans and fire training link together. We look at the common causes of fire and also discuss recent fires and case histories.
In addition, we discuss the different classes and types of fire. Furthermore, we look at the different types of fire extinguisher and see what is the best extinguisher for each class of fire. After the theory session, we can have a practical session providing you have a suitable outside space.
On the outside practical session we use an LPG fire training rig and our fire extinguishers. Staff can fight small fires while being closely monitored by our trainers. They will use water, foam and carbon dioxide extinguishers to put out the fires. Our fire training course is an approved programme and last about 1.5 to 2 hours. Each person on the course will get a certificate of attendance after completing the course.

What is an approved fire training course?
Our approved fire training courses have been reviewed by a fire industry body. The IFSM represents fire equipment retailers, assessors and trainers. Our courses have all been reviewed and we have been awarded Approved Centre status.
This also means that we can make some changes to our courses to include company and organisation plans. The course will still be an approved course and certificates of attendance will reflect this. For more details go to the IFSM website.
